In this project I used research and coding skills to create a website for a music festival called Scarfest. My main goal was to create a website for a music festival based around pop, hip-hop and rock. I started the project by researching different music festivals and comparing them to see which would fit my idea. I used primary and secondary research to get statistics on the audience and what genre of music is the most popular. The research and ideas and preproduction blog show my research throughout the project from finding out what research is to creating the design for the website. Research was the most crucial part for this project since every step required me to look at competitors and generate ideas from looking at other websites.
The research blog answers the question "What is Research" and explains what secondary and primary is.
The Ideas blog includes a PowerPoint presentation on my idea generation and my audience feedback for Scarfest. It also includes an explanation of my primary and secondary research.
The Pre-Production Blog covers my initial design thoughts for Scarfest like mock up design and mood boards that inspired my website design.

Using my research, I started creating my website using html and CSS. This process was easy due to me already knowing html and CSS and having a mock up design allowed me to have an easy coding experience since I had a visual representation of my final design. In the Build Blog there is a PowerPoint on the key parts of my website and how I made them and there is also a walk through my journey on making the website and the things that went wrong and what went right in the project.
