This week I completed my tasks set from last week which means I am following my Gantt chart and research plan well.
I completed the research document as I only needed to create the final idea, respond to feedback and completed the UAL project document. I started with the final parts of research which included the contextual parts of the final project chosen I did this by researching the topic on google and finding what it means and then explaining how it is relevant the product. This will make pre-production easier as my choices are justified, and I can understand the significance of everything within the project.
Once I completed the contextual research, I looked at my questionnaire feedback to further mould the final product into the ideal app. In every slide of feedback, I made sure I stated what changes will be made now that I have this feedback and how it will impact the build. This is because I wanted to show that I understood how feedback is important within the research process and that I understood what the target audience wants to see.
By completing these steps, I created the ideal project plan which includes the name, brand identity, target audience, where Dave will be used in the project, Mascot backstory, unique selling point and the apps storyline. By explaining these components, I understood what I was creating and the requirements needed to create the ideal app. It also will make the assessor understand what I am creating before looking at the preproduction document.
As I am on time with my Gantt chart, next week I will start preproduction and focus on expanding the brand identity with mood boards and mock-ups and start planning the website with wireframes, mock-ups, and sound effects.
