Week 5 Blog - Visual Music

These photos were taken on my samsung digital camera and the cds are from my CD collection, that is mainly kpop. or the theme visual music i thought of cds as it is music in a physical form so you can see that and the data on the cd reflects the light to create the rainbow effect. Other forms of visual music can include concerts or the visual representation of a sound wave that was common on older computers/software. An example of this is windows media player sound visualiser displayed below.

To use these images and theme in digital technology, my idea was for a music app like spotify but it shows the emphasis on physical and visual media. Instead of having basic album covers for display, the covers could be used as sleeves and when the user hovers over the album the cd will slide out and there could be an animation for the cd/vinyl to start spinning on the designated player. For the visual aspect, like spotify has 4 options when playing (lyrics, album cover, music video, artist profile), it could have an option for music sound waves. Mock-up below.
